Mission: As a member of the property management team, this role contributes advanced knowledge and expertise in technology, combined with a strong understanding of the hospitality business, to support property and Information Resources objectives by leveraging analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize business performance and enhance customer satisfaction.

The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing IT systems and infrastructure across complex properties, ensuring operational continuity, security, and innovation in technology. This role plays a key part in enhancing guest experiences and improving overall business efficiency. The position may interface with vendors, owners, the Executive Committee, and property staff.

Job Description:

  • Define and drive long-term technological strategy to hotels operations;
  • Manage, coordinate and develop IT team across the resort, defining KPI and goals with business strategy (properties and coorporate leval) all IT members;
  • Supervise IT operations, networks, and systems within the resort;
  • Maintain and optimize critical hospitality systems, including PMS, POS, ERP, guest services platforms and others;
  • Provide first and second-level IT support to staff and management;
  • Coordinate with corporate IT and vendors for escalated issues;
  • Maintains, inspects and repairs equipment;
  • Inspects and ensures the maintenance of the equipment or the environment (Data Center, technical areas…);
  • Administers and maintains mail and email;
  • Implement cybersecurity measures following the guidance of the corporate IT team;
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations like PCI DSS, NIS2, ISO 27001 and GDPR;
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments;
  • System Enhancements & Project Coordination;
  • Lead IT projects such as software upgrades and new technology rollouts;
  • Ensure full compliance with brand standards and in all operational and technical implementations;
  • Collaborate with corporate IT teams on digital transformation initiatives;
  • Manage IT budgets, vendor relations, and procurement processes;
  • Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards;
  • Monitors processes and evaluates information according to SOP and LSOP requirements;
  • Enforces IR policies and standards protecting company hardware, software and other resources at the property;
  • Directs maintenance of equipment and installed software applications inventory for property ensuring compliance with licensing regulations;
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work;
  • Performs an assessment of needs, ensuring compliance with brand specific standards, budget and capital requirements;
  • Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any property projects on schedule and according to specification;
  • Ensures problems are correctly reported, routed, tracked and solved, with the system user being informed of situation at all times;
  • Ensures proper asset management;
  • Performs on-site monitoring of all projects;
  • Ensures that regular on-going communication is happening in all areas of responsibility to create awareness of business objectives and communicates expectations, recognizes performance and produces desired business results.
